CowryChurch app is different from other apps in the sense that it's not a single-purpose payment appliction, but a complete ecosystem of integrated church financial services. Another reason is that its the first ever faith-based app that allows you to give offerings using Paycodes for shielding so that next person sitting close cannot see your offering.
These are 6-digit numbers generated on the CowryChurch app for two major reasons: 1. For offering payments 2. For shielding of offering payments
On the user dashboard, click on view sub wallets on the digital purse, again click on create paycodes and follow the prompts to generate your 6-digit paycode.
There are four ways you can do that after you must have first generated the Paycodes: 1. Use of Mobile Phone- After generating, click on" view Paycodes" and then click on "use code" and follow the prompts. 2. Use of Mite Cards- The paycodes are written down on the card with other information and given as offering. 3. Use of Mite Slips- Same as in the case of Mite Cards 4. Use of Self-Sevice- Via the church provided dedicated mobile devices, login to your CowryChurch user account and generate a Paycode and send directly , via Mite Cards or Mite Slips.
This is possible through the use of Self-Sevice- Via the church provided dedicated mobile devices. Login to your CowryChurch user account and generate a Paycode and send directly to church wallet or write the Paycodes on Mite Cards or Mite Slips. You can also use assisted mobile devices (mobile devices other than yours or that of church) to access your wallet account from which paycodes are generated and given as offerings directly or via the use of mite cards or mite slips.
Yes. Your offerings are handled by Paystack, a CBN licensed gateway provider and then settled into your church bank accounts. CowryChurch does not hold any fund in the process.
CowryChurch leverages the existing payment infrastructure and technologies of its strategic partners, together with its advanced technology platform, to facilitate seamless offering payments.
A reserved offering is an offering that a worshipper has set aside or committed for a future church offering session.
CowryChurch employs “Pay As You Go” method to enable you pay only for the service you use. The platform charges a use fee of 1.5% and Paystack also charges for payment gateway service of 1.5%, everything totalling 3% of your offering.
Children below 18 years are not allowed to use the service. However, they can give their offerings through one of the service offline payment tools known as “Mite Slip” but under the supervision of a parent/guardian.
